Her name is Anna "Nyanna"
Patterson and she’s 23 years old. To know her is to love her but to hear her leads you to believe that heaven
lost an angel. Nyanna has been singing since she was able to speak and while growing up in a Christian household, her singing
abilities were cultivated in the choir stand. She has a deep appreciation for all types of music and is very flexible when
it comes to experimenting in the studio. She was raised in a household that, not only, listened to Gospel music but everything
from Reggae to Calypso, Disco to early Hip Hop and R&B- all of which has heavily influenced her demo project and stage
performance. At an early age Nayanna realized she was able to touch others with her voice and it became apparent to her family
and friends as well as to many others around her that there was something special about her.
Nyanna has a relentless approach to everything
she does in life. Yearning for a chance at having an illustrious singing career, she knows that if she stays focused, the
right opportunity would present itself. All she wants is a chance to be heard. She has a remarkable voice
that is gentle to the ear yet enticing as well as maintaining an exceptional energy level that lights up any stage. Nyanna
holds an untamable passion for music and dreams of the day when her songs can be heard by the world.
Nyanna was inspired by
the sultry tones of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Whitney Houston. She envisions herself someday being in the same
circle with the likes of Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige.
Since signing on with Empire State Entertainment,
Nyanna has been preparing herself for that big break. She has been steadily
working in the studio recording, and collaborating on other projects in efforts to further develop herself and enhance her
studio capabilities. Nyanna has been busy performing in showcases all over the
up-state area opening up for many acts since she has been singing. She has also appeared on a local radio station hot 107.9FM
and in Syracuse, NY for several interviews and news bulletins for rising young stars. The one thing that Nyanna
desires more than anything is that one day people will listen to her music and accept her talent as pure. She wants her audience
to appreciate her efforts in sharing a part of herself.
